The above photo is of the Samuel Beckett Bridge in the heart of Dublin, it was one of the first things that Jennifer and I saw when we arrived in Dublin and it really en-captures the pride of national identity that the Irish have. It also looks pretty cool. I really enjoyed Dublin it is an impressive city full of history and bars. We took a walking tour on the Saturday which was really good, the tour guide seemed to give off a typical Irish view of the current situation, bitterness and anger at the people that have made the decisions that has lead to Ireland losing it’s financial independence. To say the tour guide was opinionated would be an understatement but none the less it was very interesting. The zoo on the Sunday was amazing. I have been set the task of collecting all the animals that Jennifer now wants, they include Penguins, Orangutans, Squirrel Monkeys and a Giraffe! All in all it was an amazing weekend. So glad I organised it (if you can call what I did organised).
